Prayer & Fasting March 21, 2020 COVID-19 Crisis
To all of the wonderful and faithful people of our church along with others in the area and elsewhere.
Tomorrow, Saturday March 21, was scheduled as a monthly day of prayer and fasting before we ever imagined the current world crisis. Prayer has always been emphasized and taught in our assembly.
I believe that God is seeking to get the world's attention at this time. Did God cause the COVID-19 virus? I don't know. Did God allow it? Yes. Can God help us through it, remove it and heal people of it? Yes! God is in control! However if there has ever been a time for God's people to pray and seek his face, it is now.
Ps 27:8 When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. KJV
I ask all members of our church to fast and pray tomorrow, Saturday March 21st. I know many businesses are shut down but some may be working, if so fast another day. Teens and older children can also join in this effort. Parents, please have a time of family prayer and devotion tomorrow. It would also be good to do this daily if possible. I do not know when we will be able to resume regular church services but hopefully it will be soon. I will also be posting on our church web site and this Facebook page additional messages and guidance. Further announcements will be forthcoming. You are all in our prayers.
